Are you looking to bring more outdoor learning into your teaching or facilitation? Join Dúlra for a practical, hands-on Forest School training day in the beautiful Donadea Forest Park!

 

This fully funded workshop is designed to equip you with essential outdoor education skills, from fire lighting and outdoor cooking to natural crafts and rope construction—giving you the confidence to lead engaging, nature-based experiences for young people.

 

Choose Your Workshops

During the day, you’ll take part in two of the following practical sessions:

🔥 Workshop A: Igniting Fires & Campfire Cooking – Safe fire-starting techniques and outdoor meal preparation.
🛠 Workshop B: Tool Use & Forest Woodwork – Hands-on training in green woodworking and safe tool use.
🍃 Workshop C: Plant-Based Crafts & Nature Journaling – Creative ways to foster learning using natural materials.
🪢 Workshop D: Rope & Knot Skills for Play – Building rope swings, ladders, and more!

 

Event Details – This one day event is being offered in two locations. Please only register for one location.

📅 Date: Saturday, 07th February 2026 📍 Location: Donadea Forest Park, Donadea, Co. Kildare, W91 VK59

⏰ Time: 10:00 – 16:00 (arrival at 09:30)
💰 Cost: Free! Funded by County Kildare Leader Partnership and EU Just Transition Fund

🚗 Parking: €5 for the day (not covered—participants will need to pay this themselves).
