What is ‘Social Prescribing County Kildare’?
Social Prescribing County Kildare is a new free service available to anyone over 18 in County Kildare who could benefit from support reconnecting with themselves and their community.
A Social Prescribing Link Worker will work one to one with individuals over a number of sessions to explore what matters to them, identifying local activities and supports, and support them to engage in their communities in ways that make a real difference in their lives.
How can Social Prescribing Benefit You?
Getting involved in community activities and supports—such as exercise or relaxation classes, arts and crafts, gardening, group programmes, education, volunteering, or accessing online resources—can help people feel less isolated and more connected. This, in turn, builds confidence and improves overall wellbeing and quality of life.
How do I access the service?
If you are interested in working with one of our Link Workers, you can self-refer by calling or texting one of the numbers underneath or complete the online request form below.
Alternatively, you can ask your GP, other Health Professional, community organisation, family member or friend, to make a referral on your behalf and we will be in contact with you.
