We are taking part in the An Gaisce Presidents Award initiative #BulbsForBees, in collaboration with the Irish Local Development Network.

A callout was placed last week on all our social media outlets and through contact Community Groups registered with us to distribute the bulbs to those who were interested in taking part in the project.

To say we were inundated with requests was an understatement ! We could have taken another 10,000 bulbs!

We spent all day Thursday, after the deadline was announced, packing the bulbs and posting them to their destinations, across County Kildare.

There will be many happy bees come springtime, we were absolutely delighted to have taken part in this wonderful initiative and over the autumn we look forward to getting pictures of them being planted in the communities by the groups involved. Then again in the Spring when they are in full bloom. We will keep you all updated on how well the groups are doing !
