ILDN TO ROLL OUT SOCIAL ENTERPRISE AWARENESS CAMPAIGN IN 2022 WITH ASSISTANCE OF DRCD ARISE FUND

Irish Local Development Network (ILDN) representing Ireland’s 49 Local Development Companies have confirmed that it will roll out a promotional Social Enterprise awareness campaign in 2022 with the assistance of funding provided by the Department of Rural & Community Development’s (DRCD) Awareness Raising Initiative for Social Enterprise Scheme (ARISE).

Confirming the campaign, ILDN Chairperson Jim Finn said; “we welcome the recent allocation of funding announced by Minister Heather Humphreys to support our efforts to spotlight the incredible work of Social Enterprises across the Country. The support provided will allow the ILDN rollout a multi-platform awareness raising campaign on Social Enterprises and the positive impact they have in our Communities.

“ILDN members administer the LEADER programme and the Social Inclusion & Community Activation Programme (SICAP) across the Country which allows Local Development Companies support Social Enterprises nationwide. The Network recently administered the Social Enterprise Regeneration Programme on behalf of DRCD supporting a diverse and significant number of Social Enterprises through the COVID recovery.”

Concluding, Mr Finn said; “We look forward to revealing more details of our plans to showcase and support Social Enterprises in the New Year and are pleased to be strategic partners with the Department of Rural & Community Development in developing the capacity of Social Enterprises and platforming this vital work in our Communities.”
