Room Deep Cleaned Check √

Social Distanced Adhered to √

Participant Inducted by Safety Co-Ordinator √

All systems were good to go for our very first classroom based course since the Covid-19 restrictions were set in place. It was very important for us here in County Kildare LEADER Partnership to follow all the guidelines when we welcomed our first group of learners back to Jigginstown in Naas for SafePass, funded by the SICAP Programme.

Each participant was welcomed and inducted into the building, by our Safety Co-Ordinator and were brought to the deep-cleaned training room. The room has been set out in a way to allow for social distancing while learning.

Geraldine Hewson, (SICAP Employment Support Worker) remarked,

It is nice to be back in the building again and meeting with learners, a lot of the courses I have been co-ordinating have been online since March, HACCP, First Aid and Infection Control. These have been very successful, but it is nice to get back into the small group instruction where you get to see people face to face. Following government guidelines to the letter of the law, will be very high on our priority list, as we hope these courses can continue this way with small groups.

Geraldine has three more courses planned for future dates – pending Government Announcements, the planned dates are as follows:

23rd September                Naas

        21st October                     Athy (venue TBC)

                18th November                 Naas

Please contact Geraldine on geraldine@countykildarelp.ie – if you would like to register for these courses, but please be aware places are limited and a waiting list is in operation.
