The Department of Social Protection’s first virtual Intreo Work and Skills Week takes place this week for four days until Thursday, 22nd April 2021.

Throughout the week the Department will showcase the Intreo supports and services that are available to employers and jobseekers. Over the course of the week the Department will bring employers and jobseekers together through a number of information seminars and online recruitment events.

The different events which are being organised will provide employers, jobseekers and those interested in upskilling or reskilling with useful information to help them on a new career path or to restart their business. Participants will have the opportunity to hear presentations that will be a mix of live and pre-recorded content.

There will also be a number of people representing businesses, jobseekers, and apprentices speaking at events during the week at which they will talk about their experience in accessing and benefiting from various Government supports that have enabled them to get back into the workforce again. Participants will be given useful tips on how to use www.JobsIreland.ie , the Department’s free online recruitment platform, to find and apply for jobs.

The event is free to attend, however, pre-registration is required.

Each of the four days, the events will run online from 10.00am to 1.00pm.

Participants can register for more than one session if they wish. There is no charge; a person needs to have an internet connection with a laptop, mobile or PC to access the broadcast.

The schedule of events for the Intreo Work and Skills Week is available here with further details available on www.Eventbrite.ie .
