County Kildare LEADER Partnership, Kildare County Council and Kildare Integration Network, with the support of other agencies, are developing a second Integration Strategy.

This County Kildare Integration Strategy builds on the first strategy which covered the period 2014 – 2019. According to Census 2016, more than 10% of Kildare’s population are of migrant origin.

In this consultation, integration refers to an individual participating fully in Irish society, while still valuing his/her own cultural identity.

A consultation process is taking place which aims to understand how best to support integration when delivering services and working in communities. The information gathered will be used to develop Kildare’s Integration Strategy.
